Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

Stamp Out Hunger

26th Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, May 12 - the Largest and Easiest National Food Drive!

Stamp Out Hunger is quite possibly the easiest food drive to join and is the largest food drive in the country.

The morning of May 12, simply place a bag of non-perishable food by your mailbox and your local letter carrier will pick it up while they are on their Saturday mail route. They will bring your food donation to Feeding the Gulf Coast – your local food bank, or a local food pantry. Last year, this food drive collected 150,000 pounds of food for Feeding the Gulf Coast – let’s make it even bigger this year!

“We are so thankful to the National Association of Letter Carriers and our community for their support in this food drive. This food will greatly help our one in six neighbors struggling with hunger,” says Cathy Pope, President & CEO of Feeding the Gulf Coast.

Letter carriers will deliver a limited number of bags prior to the food drive. Residents who do not receive a bag may use any grocery bag on hand to fill with donation items. Feeding the Gulf Coast’s most needed items include canned meats (tuna, chicken, etc.), canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned and boxed meals (soup, mac and cheese, etc.), canned or dried beans/peas, peanut butter and jelly (plastic containers), pasta and rice, and cereal and breakfast items.
