KFC and the Lifetime Channel have partnered up with a very unusual Christmas surprise—a 15 minute “suspenseful romance mini movie” starring Mario Lopez as Colonel Sanders. It’s premiering Sunday, December 13thand what better way to spend your afternoon than eating a bucket of KFC, throwing a KFC 11 Herbs and Spices Firelog on the fire and watching a movie “full of mystery, suspense, deception and “fowl” play?”
The companies say this is the ‘first of its kind” Lifetime Original Mini Movie: “A Recipe For Seduction”—kind of a play on words for both companies. Andrea Zahumensky, KFC’s chief marketing officer says “we’re no stranger to heating up things for the holidays just like our famous fried chicken firelog” and “we all could use a little distraction this holiday season.”
A little hint to the plot? An heiress falls for her family’s new chef who, you guessed it—Colonel Sanders, and a struggle with her mother over the man she picked for her daughter and the bearded one…should be an entertaining and well-fed afternoon for the entire family.
