Hangin' with James Otto and Rodney Atkins at Live Bait prior to the Brooks and Dunn concert last week.  We had a great time with the boys and several of our listeners.  A big Thank You to John Brunick  and his  staff at Live Bait for a great time and super service!

My wife Andrea and I hanging with Leroy Alabama's Ashton Shepherd after she open for Montgomery Gentry at the Wharf!  Ashston delivered a great performance for all her fans in lower Alabama.

It's summertime, so it's all about getting out and having fun.  You can't beat a day at the beach, even when it's crowded.  Give me my super beach chair, my wife bought it for me, and it's like a beach recliner!  Once I hit the sand, hear the surf and grab a cold drink, I'm ready for a nap.  Of course golfing is always a ton of fun, even why I play poorly, which I do a lot.  And any time I can spend with my wife and son is the best.
Just spent over two hours in the theater this weekend to see Iron Man!  What a fun movie.  Really enjoyed the special effects, but the story was also very good.  Saw the new Indiana Jones movie with many KSJ listeners at our sneak peek a few weeks ago.  That's like riding a roller coaster.  Lots of fun.  Now if we are talking about all time favorites, I love the old Jack Nicholson film, Chinatown.  If you've never seen this movie, it has it all!  Great direction, great acting, by Nicholson and Faye Dunaway, and a twisting and turning story that will leave your breathless and maybe shocked when it's all over. Best part is the cameo by the film's director, Roman Polanski.
I've been listening to quite a bit of great music lately.  I do love the new James Otto cd, Sunset Man.  It's out in stores now or you can hear it On Demand by clicking here.  Got an advance copy of Keith Anderson's new cd, Come On, and it's super fine.  It will be out soon.  Of course I still can't get enough of Keith Urban's Love, Pain and the Whole Crazy Thing.  And when I need to get back to my country outlaw roots, I just throw in Walon Jennings Greatest Hits cd.  Son, that's good stuff!

Hi, Rocky here with another installment of Rocky's World. For those who don't know, I own Bill Black and his wife Andrea.  I let them live with me in Spanish Fort.  First I hope everyone is drying out after all the rain.  I took Bill for a walk Monday evening and we got caught in another one of those quickie showers.  Let me tell you, nothing smells as bad as wet human! You'd think they would come up with some kind of spray or something to kill that smell!
Well it's almost football season, and I am an Auburn fan.  Really no choice, my buddy Bill only owns orange and blue shirts.  Since he fills up the supper dish twice a day, i gotta roll with it. Thank the good lord he doesn't make me wear those dumb doggie clothes.  I'd rip them suckers up.  You show me a dog wearing little bitty outfits and I'll show you a dog on the edge of insanity.  Put those silly outfits on your dog if you must, but one day you'll wake up to find yourself staring into the face of a snarling canine.
I want to wish everyone a great Labor Day.  As someone who spends the majority of his day sniffing around the backyard, taking my buddy Bill for a walk, eating, drink water out of my water dish and the special giant bowl in the bath, I know what a hard day's work is all about.  Personally I'm hoping we get the grill out on Labor Day.  Bill's wife Andrea can whip up some great burgers, and Bill, being a bit challenged, is likely to drop one from the grill.  Trust me, it won't be on the ground for long.  wish me luck!
By the way, anybody out there ever tasted baseboard?  It's delicious and doesn't even need any salt!

As you can see, always hard at work.
Later!

Rocky
