Voting to determine the winners of the 2013 ACM New Male Vocalist, New Female Vocalist and New Vocal Duo or Group is currently underway at VoteACM.com.
After the polls close at 3 p.m. ET on February 4th, the winners will go on to compete for the title of ACM New Artist of the Year. The nominees are already on the campaign trail:
New Male Vocalist:
- Lee Brice is giving away a free download of “Carolina Boy” to those who join his online campaign.
- Brantley Gilbert has posted a banner on his website to remind fans to vote.
- Hunter Hayes took to Twitter to remind followers to hit the polls. He posted, “What an honor to be nominated for @ACMawards New Artist and I have YOU all to thank for being such a big part of it.”
New Female Vocalist:
- Jana Kramer reminded Twitter followers to vote, posting: “Fan voting has started for new female! Go to http://Voteacm.com Love y'all so much!”
- Kacey Musgraves Facebooked fans, sharing a campaign poster for votes.
- Sunny Sweeney is the first nominee to film a campaign video, spoofing a Justin Timberlake Saturday Night Live skit. Check out "Click In The Box" on YouTube.com
New Vocal Duo or Group:
- Florida Georgia Line started a viral campaign called Get Your Vote On
- Love And Theft reminded followers that the polls are open, tweeting: “Ohhh yeah! @ACMawards voting opens at NOON. Head on over to http://www.VoteACM.com to vote Love and Theft for Best New Vocal Duo or Group!”
- The ACM’s reigning Top Vocal Duo Thompson Square are also in the category.
