A Michigan football fan took his love of tean to another level when he blamed his drunken stupor on...Here. Just read for yourself.
After turning a nailbiter into a rout of LSU Saturday night, Alabama looks like a good bet to get to Pasadena for the shot to repeat as BCS National Champs. Again. So let's say you would like to follow Alabama on their journey. If you plan on purchasing tickets to both the Iron Bowl in Auburn and the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta, you can expect to pay a total of over $1000...and this is before you make arrangements to go out West. According to Forbes, Bama fans can actually purchase those seats in Rose Bowl Stadium for far less the Auburn or SEC title game. Here is the article that breaks it all down.

When your marquee 2:30 SEC game on CBS is between a couple of injured and disappointing teams like Florida and Georgia you know this weekend isn't going to be the most enticing of the college football season. Nevertheless, I bring you all the televised college football game information for you to plow through. This is courtesy of the LSU site.
By now most of you are familiar with the story of Vigor being booted from the high school playoffs for a state rules violation. The Alabama High School Athletic Association made the ruling after receiving information from the principle's office at Saraland High School.
While Vigor coach Ashley Johnson admits a violation did occur, it was far from intentional. While it has become commonplace for schools to straddle the letter of the law while fielding competitive teams, Vigor High School is hardly the epicenter of this sort of behavior. Just the opposite.
It's hardly coincidence that Saraland High School blew the whistle on Vigor after the 5A playoff brackets were released revealing the Spartans would have to face the Wolves in round 1. Their is an understood code among coaches in Southwest Alabama on how to handle situations like this. There is not one head coach in the area that I have spoken with that thinks this should not have been handled completely differently by the administration at SHS.
I have reached out to Saraland head coach Jeff Kelly to come on KSJ and give their side of the story but he has declined. Check out the investigative reporting by Simone Eli on Fox 10 to keep up with the nuances of this story.

The Alabama Crimson Tide is use to winning. The fans are winners too. Sort of...
I came across this unreal highlight tape of a 12 year old football player named Elijah Gardaya. The reel was put together back in 2007 making the star athlete 189 years old today. Despite some internet searching it's not clear to me where or what this former star youth athlete plays, but he was REALLY good at twelve. Check it out.
Was Terry Saban house hunting in Austin, Texas a couple of weeks back? Should Tide fans be concerned Nick could hightail it to the soon to be available Longhorn head football coach position? Check this out from burntorangenation.com.
Because of the the high profile players that have gone down for the Georgia Bulldogs you are aware that they've had some hard luck with injuries this year. But you probably could never guess just HOW many Dogs are down. Check out the story from onlineathens.
Some of my random thoughts from the weekend: While Auburn stole the headlines with their exciting win at Texas A&M, it's time to realize Alabama is starting to put it all together. Just ask Arkansas. Meanwhile my Georgia Bulldogs bottomed out as they blew a two TD lead in the fourth quarter to Vandy's second string QB. Excuse me while I add just a touch of rat poison to my Gatorade this morning. I also got out to Ladd-Peebles to see much of South Alabama's dominating win over Kent State. The Jags are looking more and more like a team that knows how to play and win together. very impressive.
