About Me
I'm originally from Panama City, but my family moved to Mobile when I was seven. I graduated from Murphy High in 1983 and ended up working and going to college in Oklahoma, Texas and again in Panama City... then I finally made it back to Mobile in 1990. I'm a single father of five wonderful children... Alana (20), Jenna (16), David (14), William (12), and Kayleigh (10). Alana is now married and living in New Hampshire with her husband Brian and their sons Mikey and twins Eddie and Chris... yes, I'm a grampa, and I love it!

I came to work at KSJ in October of 1999, and I started doing weeknights in January of 2003. I really enjoy what I'm doing now... and I plan on staying here as long as I can!

The Donkey
Tuesday 08-05-2008 4:09pm CT

Young Chuck moved to Texas and bought a donkey from a farmer for $100.00. The farmer agreed to deliver the donkey the next day.

The next day he drove up and said, "Sorry son, but I have some bad news,
the donkey died." Chuck replied, "Well, then just give me my money back." The farmer said, "Can't do that. I went and spent it already."

Chuck said, "Ok, then, just bring me the dead donkey."
The farmer asked, "What ya gonna do with him?" Chuck said, "I'm going to raffle him off." The farmer said, "You can't raffle off a dead donkey!" Chuck said, "Sure I can! Watch me... I just won't tell anybody he's dead."

A month later, the farmer met up with Chuck and asked, "What happened
with that dead donkey?" Chuck said, "I raffled him off. I sold 500 tickets at two dollars apiece and made a profit of $898.00."

The farmer said, "Didn't anyone complain?"

Chuck said, "Just the guy who won. So I gave him his two dollars back."

Chuck now works for the government.

"Whiskey Lullaby" at Karaoke
Wednesday 07-16-2008 12:44am CT

(Almost) every Saturday, I go to karaoke at a local Mexican restaurant with the kids... it's a LOT of fun! If you're looking for something great to do with your family, I highly recommend it.This is me and Kayleigh (my 10 year old) singing this past weekend... the picture and sound quality aren't the best in the world (it was recorded on my PDA), but I wanted to share it with you. Kayleigh's got a great singing voice!

And I... had fun :-)

Where Has The Summer Gone?
Tuesday 07-15-2008 11:19pm CT
Seems like it was a few weeks ago when the kids got out of school for the summer... and here we are in mid-July! Can you believe how fast it's going by?

And isn't this some incredible weather we're having? It's amazing to see clear blue skies in Mobile, in the middle of the summer! It was in the 90s today, but the humidity was really low... great for washing your car, cutting your grass, or whatever you needed to do outside. Or if you were lucky enough, maybe you were able to just enjoy it at the beach or by the pool. Even if you were stuck in the office, it made for a great view!

Wherever you were, I hope you took 95KSJ along... we'll give you lots and lots of great country music to get you through your day. Here's the view from the KSJ studios, as the sun set today:
