I love technology. I'm quite sure I've mentioned that before (more than once), but I may not have stressed it enough. I feel like pretty much anything in the world could be improved with a little technology added to the mix. Think about where we were in the 80's, and where we are today... we've come a long way, haven't we?

That being said, I wanted to share a couple of cool things. Both will make your life better: one in a practical way, and one is just a whole lot of fun. And they're both FREE!

Practical: Evernote

I got to beta test Evernote, and it just keeps getting better. It pretty much lets you input whatever's on your mind (text, audio, pictures), and everything syncs to the Evernote servers. You'll then be able to access that data later... there are Evernote clients for Windows, Mac, iPhone, PalmPre, Blackberry, and Windows Mobile. There's a special version for USB drives that use U3, and it can also be accessed from a web browser. Everything stays synced up!

Try it, you'll be hooked!

Fun: TrackMania Nations Forever

This one's for Windows... I can't believe how wonderful this game is! It's a racing game with great graphics and challenging gameplay... and you can race against others from across the planet (or around the house... I enjoy racing against my girlfriend Tiffany and son William). There's a paid version called TrackMania United, on sale now for $19.99, with a lot more stuff on it... but the free Nations game is great for hours of fun. System requirements aren't too high; it runs well on my 2 year old laptop!

(look for me if you decide to play online, my user name is scotchestnut)

Oh, and in April of 2007, they had a race with 250 cars on one track simultaneously! That was a world record... here's the video!
